About
For the past 4 years I’ve been designing, coaching, and learning (a lot) at Canva, one of Australia’s biggest success stories and a place that genuinely empowers the world to design.
I joined as the design lead for Canva’s photo editing experience, where I led the design and launch of the standalone Photo Editor, redesigned photo editing inside the main Canva editor, and helped ship Magic Studio, a suite of AI-powered photo editing tools.
I then moved into a Group Design Lead role, leading both the Photo and Video editing design team. During this time I grew and supported the team through a full redesign and rebuild of the core video editor, along with shipping multiple AI tools and features across both Video and Photo. It’s been an epic ride with huge learning, great people, and a tonne of user wishes delivered.

Magic Video
A latest launch in video. Research showed a clear need for a faster way to make social videos. Magic Video lets you drop in your clips, give a short prompt, and our AI builds a polished, share-ready video in seconds.
Standalone Photo Editor
Fast photo edits without opening a full design. The standalone editor lets users crop, adjust, and retouch images quickly on mobile or desktop. Download directly or continue on designing in the Canva editor.
Video 2.0: Built for Creators
Creators wanted more control and precision when editing videos in Canva. The new timeline makes editing, trimming, and layering clips faster, easier, and more powerful while keeping the workflow smooth.
